Nu Blu
<62 Avenue C (off 4th Street) 212 979 9925 - An example of the growing trendification of Alphabet City. A single blue light hangs over the anonymous door to the bar of the NuBlu record label.
Cool, eclectic space inside that plays host to poetry readings, gigs and damn fine DJs. Behind a second room where some smoke, is a small garden that backs onto a green unused lot: see more here(?).
Probably worth checking out on the otherside of midnight.
